Cooke offers this program in partnership with one of the largest real estate school providers in the United States, Dearborn Publishing's RECampus Program. This is the same program offered by many other real estate schools in the State of Mississippi for much more money.

Course Textbooks Included:

These are both excellent texts that follow the course outline.  Modern Real Estate Practice by Fillmore W. Galaty, Wellington J. Allaway and Robert C. Kyle.  Plus Mississippi Real Estate Basics by Cynthia Joachim.  Students will find these text a real PLUS while taking this outstanding program.

Computer Capability:  Minimum system requirements:

  • 800 x 600 (16 bit)

  • Pentium II, 233 MHz

  • Sufficient memory to run your system software and browser

  • Windows 2000, XP, Me, NT, 98, 95

  • Supported Browser is Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.x, 6.x.

  • AOL, Earthlink & Compuserve dial-up users should minimize their connection window and launch Microsoft Internet Explorer from the Start button in order to use the standard, supported Microsoft Internet Explorer browser.

  • Cookies enabled

  • JavaScript enabled

  • Macintosh users will want to use Internet Explorer for MAC OSX or Apple's Safari browser as their browser in viewing the online course.

Information needed to know before taking this course:

  1. Once the student purchases this course, the student CANNOT get a refund.
  2. Once the student purchases the course, the student has ONE year to complete the program.
  3. As the student works through the course, there is a comprehensive quiz after every reading assignment with must be answered with 100% accuracy before that section can be marked complete.  There are also various interactive exercises that must be completed with 100% accuracy before that section can be marked complete.  This course is divided into 31 units (see below).   Each unit has an exam which also must be answered.  The student must receive a grade of 90% on the end-of-unit exam before the unit is marked complete.  As you go through each unit exam make notes of your answers because you will be required to redo all unit exams until you score a 90% passing grade.  This course is designed for you to learn the material.
  4. The real test is the State Exam.  Students need to keep in mind that they are learning the material to pass the State Exam. Don't get frustrated, this is the important step in getting a Mississippi Real Estate License
  5. This course is totally web based.  The course is not downloadable.  The student can work through the course at the student's convenience.
  6. This course is NOT designed to be printed for security purposes and copy right regulations
  7. The On-Line Distance Learning student CAN NOT change to a CD-Rom Course for course certification without paying the full tuition fee of $295. There is NO changing to between the On-line course and the CD-Rom course AND vice versa.
  8. At the time of registration for the On-Line Distance Learning Course, the student will receive an e-mail from Dearborn's RECampus, verifying the student's registration. 
  9. Every On-Line student must agree to the following affidavit: "I certify that I personally completed all assignments". 
  10. Upon completing the course, RECampus posts for Cooke Real Estate School a daily report of student's completing the course.  The staff at Cooke reviews this report daily, Monday through Thursday, and mails the completion certificates to those students who have successfully completed the course.  Allow three to four business days to receive this completion certificate.
