Information needed to know before taking this course:

1. Once the student purchases this course, the student CANNOT get a refund.
2. Once the student purchases the course, the student has ONE year to complete the program.
3. Once the student receives their user name and password by email upon registration, the student can access their student page from the web site: www.CookeMs.com.  Go to the light blue icon on the right: "Cooke School Student Login" and put in their user name and password.
4. The first step the student needs to do is to view the Orientation and the complete the Orientation quiz successfully and Session 1 will light up.
5. As the student works through the course, there is a incremental assessment quiz after every video presentation. The quiz must be answered with 80% accuracy before that section can be marked complete. 
6. If the student fails to obtain the required 80% on the quiz, the student must answer another set of questions until they score 80%.  There is remediation to each quiz so the student can find some indication of why their answer was incorrect and what the appropriate answer should have been.  
7. Once the student completes the quiz, the student must completed the vocabulary matching exercise correctly by matching all the items.
8. The student page also has text links to information that is pertinent to the material in the session.  Also, there is a crossword puzzle for each of the first 23 session to help the student learn the vocabulary.
9. Each session has a time requirement which is the approximate time to review the video for the session.  The course has a total time requirement of 3,000 minutes. The minutes will be recorded as long as the student’s course page is active.  The time the student is viewing the videos from their student page, completing the quizzes, doing the matching exercises and viewing the text links are all counted towards the time on the course. Of course, we encourage the student to refer to the textbook(s) provided and that time will count as long as the “Student Page” is active.   
10. When the student registers for the course, the student is asked some personal questions.  Twice during the course the student must answer two of the bio data questions asked upon registration.  The question must be answered correctly before being able to continue with the course.   
11. The student must complete have completed all the exercises, spend the required time on the course and completed the agreement and the evaluation before the course portion of the course has been completed.  
12. The final hurdle of the course:

    • The student must take the 50 question summary exam composed of 10 questions on Mississippi license law and 40 questions on the national portion of the course. The exam questions are multiple choice.
    • If the student fails to score 70% another quiz needs to be take, until the score of 70% is obtained.
13. The real test is the State Exam. Students need to keep in mind that they are learning the material to pass the State Exam. Don't get frustrated, this is the important step in getting a Mississippi Real Estate License.  PSI is the exam provider in Mississippi.  Here is the link to the PSI web site.
14. This course is totally web based.  The course is not downloadable.  The student can work through the course at the student's convenience.
15. This course is NOT designed to be printed for security purposes and copy right regulations
16. At the time of registration for the On-Line Distance Learning Course, the student will receive an e-mail from Cooke School with the user name and password to access the course.  
17. Every On-Line student must agree to the following affidavit: "I certify that I personally completed all assignments". 
18. Upon completing the course, Cooke Real Estate School receives an e-mail notifying that the student has successfully completed the course.   The school will mail the Certificate of Completion to the student.  Please allow three to four business days to receive this completion certificate.
